A steam-powered generator is a device that uses heat energy to boil liquid water and convert it into a vapor phase, referred to as steam. The heat may be derived from the combustion of a fuel such as coal, petroleum fuel oil, natural gas, municipal waste or biomass, a nuclear fission reactor, and other sources. In recent years Uganda has been a front-runner in expanding access to electricity. Uganda launches last-mile connectivity to increase electricity access to rural communities. The objective of this project is to provide reliable and affordable electricity to rural households, public institutions, and small and medium enterprises. Overall this scheme will contribute significantly to meeting only 60% of electricity access through the grid. The remaining 40% of electricity can be generated using steam-powered generators for Uganda in various process plants. There are five ways to use a steam-powered generator for Uganda in distillation, sterilization, heat pump auxiliary heating, vessel heating, and HVAC.
In Uganda, the major industries are based on processing such as agricultural products tea, sugar, coffee, cotton grains, dairy products, and edible oils. All these industries have higher energy demand hence we introduced steam-powered generators for Uganda.
